Kathryn Ing, Health Safety and Environmental Manager for EEL, will be presented with the award during the awards ceremony on July 12, 2017.
Kathryn said, “We are delighted with our award. Achieving the gold award is a true testament to our entire national team and our continued commitment to placing the health, safety and welfare of our people at the heart of what we do everyday as one of our core values.
“However, this isn’t where our hard work stops. We will continue to improve our health and safety performance and further ensure that our existing ‘award winning safety culture’ remains strong”.
The awards, which are open to businesses across the UK and overseas, are judged on very strict criteria considering entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Richard Powner, Director at EEL commented: “Achieving such an accolade is an acknowledgement of our commitment to protect our people and it reinforces our core values for health and safety.
Through EELs well embedded health and safety practices and ever improving performance we can clearly demonstrate our dedication in this crucial area. We are honoured to be receiving the RoSPA Gold Award”.
“The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the field of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning demonstrates commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat”, said Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events.
