EE donate PPE and electronic devices as part of urgent Covid-19 appeals

Environmental Essentials have donated 50 smartphone devices to Lifelines4lovedones, hoping they can bring comfort to the many families and friends who are separated from their loved ones during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

We are all facing unprecedented challenges and increased uncertainty, posed by the current Covid-19 crisis, but for some the impact is clearly more significant. By supporting Lifelines4lovedones we can help connect hospitalised NHS patients and vulnerable individuals with their families, whilst separated.

Hospitals are curtailing visits to prevent the spread of the virus and so people are having to use videolinks to stay in touch with their loved ones, and very sadly, sometimes even say their last goodbyes. You can read more about how technology can help here.

TMT First are an Authorised Samsung repair and service partner who are able to process large volumes of donated devices, and attempt repair on those devices that may be deemed faulty. All products we have sent will be cleaned, tested and data wiped before distribution, to meet current UK regulations. Video call technology will be pre-installed on the devices before shipping them to NHS hospitals for critical care to use.

We also wanted to say thank you and to show our support to the NHS and front-line keyworkers. We have dropped donations of PPE/RPE consumables from our limited stock at the Royal Stoke Hospital, Staffordshire Police Custody Suite and the University Hospital Hairmyres, East Kilbride.

Stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives!
